I received my Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in 1991 and my Masters in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 1998.

As a board-certified, licensed physical therapist with a specialty in Early Childhood Intervention, I spent years providing PT care in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practices, outpatient clinics, and the Naperville 203 school district.

I also have a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and have a passion for helping others with EDS and similar congential hypermobility disorders navigate the related pain and loss of function. After 40+ years of unexplained symptoms (and lots of doctors who thought my pain was “all in my head,”) I have found techniques for managing the pain and am excited to share that knowledge with all of you.

Today, I am the sole owner of Wendy 4 Therapy.  With a wide variety of personal and professional experiences, I'm uniquely qualified to serve families and work with you to determine the underlying cause of your disease or disability and make a PLAN. I have a passion for understanding the WHY of a symptom or limitation.  The phrase “unknown etiology” or “we’re just not sure” is not enough. You deserve more in a trained health care provider. I partner with all of my families often forming deep and meaningful relationships that extend well beyond the time spent in the course of their clinical care.

Personal Interests

My favorite job is being a mother to three fantastic children, Maddie, Emily & Henry. Physical therapy/health coaching are a close second! I also enjoy traveling (to the ocean, mountains and sea), gardening (veggies when I can find the sun), playing sports (that don’t hurt my aging body), walking, playing with my dog, and reading historical fiction.
